Just Wright

JUST WRIGHT stars Queen Latifah as Leslie Wright, a straight shooting physical therapist who gets the gig of a lifetime working with NBA All-Star Scott McKnight (Common). All is going well until Leslie finds herself falling for Scott, forcing her to choose between the gig of a lifetime and the tug-of-war inside her heart.

Daddy Longlegs

After months of being alone, sad, busy, sidetracked, free, lofty, late and away from his kids, Lenny, 34 with graying frazzled hair, picks his kids up from school. Every year he spends a couple of weeks with his sons Sage, 9, and Frey, 7. Lenny juggles his kids and everything else all within a midtown studio apartment in New York City. He ultimately faces the choice of being their father or their friend all with the idea that these two weeks must last 6 months. In these two weeks, a trip upstate, visitors from strange lands, a mother, a girlfriend, “magic” blankets, and complete lawlessness seem to take over their lives. The film is a swan song to excuses and responsibilities; to fatherhood and self-created experiences, and to what it’s like to be truly torn between being a child and being an adult.

Looking for Eric

“Looking For Eric” is a tender, life-affirming, and hilarious nod to the possibility of second chances. When down-and-out postal worker Eric Bishop (Steve Evets) reaches the end of his rope – his two layabout stepsons are set on driving him to an early grave, his second marriage is in ruins, and that’s just the start of his troubles – he finds some unexpected motivation to turn his life around and win back the love of his life from none other than his idol, the legendary footballer Eric Cantona of Manchester United.

Robin Hood

Ridley Scott helms a script by Sleeper Cell scribes Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris as they tackle this revisionist take on the Robin Hood legend, which finds the noble Sheriff of Nottingham (Russell Crowe) attempting to deal with the exploits of a less than virtuous Robin Hood while gradually being drawn into a heated love triangle involving the legendary thief and the beautiful Maid Marion.

The Living Wake

The Living Wake is a dark comedy set in a timeless storybook universe. Self—proclaimed artist and genius, K. Roth Binew (Mike O’Connell, “What’s It Gonna Be”), has one day to live. He has enlisted his best and only friend, Mills Joquin (Jesse Eisenberg, “Zombieland”, “Adventureland”), to take him around on a bicycle powered rickshaw. In a final attempt to probe life’s deepest mysteries, Binew endures one ridiculous trial after the next. He concludes his day with a final performance, his living wake. On a makeshift stage in an open field, Binew’s friends and enemies gather to witness his madness one final time.

Popcorn Time!!

I forgot to do last time :/ didn’t have internet and had a mental breakdown earlier so I forgot.

This week releasing on 30th April we have:

Mercy

A cynical novelist enters into an affair with the critic who isn’t fooled by his romantic posturing in this romantic drama starring and written by Scott Caan. John (Caan may write about being in love, but the truth of the matter is that he’s never actually experienced it firsthand, and he’s not entirely convinced that it even exists. He’s a certified bachelor committed to remaining single, but he’s also a master seducer capable of bedding practically any woman that he wants. When John meets Mercy, he’s instantly captivated by her insight and honesty. She sees right through his insincere sentimentality, and as a result John impulsively opens up to her – something that he’s never done with another woman. In doing so John makes himself vulnerable, and for the first time ever he’s willing to take that risk.

Harry Brown

Academy Award-nominee Daniel Barber (The Tonto Woman) makes his feature directorial debut with this gritty critique on contemporary British society starring Michael Caine as an elderly shut-in who’s spurned into action by a senseless act of violence. Harry Brown (Caine) resides in a desolate public housing apartment block as his sickly wife lies dying in a local hospital. He spends most of his days in solitary, only getting out to play the occasional game of chess at a nearby pub with his best friend Leonard (David Bradley). The days of basic human decency seem to be a thing of the past, because in recent years barbarous drug dealers and gangsters have overtaken the dilapidated complex. Killing is a way of life for these young thugs, and as a result overburdened detectives Frampton (Emily Mortimer) and Hicock (Charlie Creed-Miles) are essentially relegated to knocking on doors and notifying parents when their children have been killed in the latest fracas, instead of investigating the crimes and jailing the guilty parties. When Leonard is murdered just feet from his own apartment, former Royal Marine Harry puts the skills he learned while fighting the IRA to take on the aggressive chavs that have intimidated the police into inaction.

A Nightmare on Elm Street

Platinum Dunes revives the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise with this reworking of slasher film legend Freddy Krueger, a deceased child killer who torments the dreams of the teenagers of Springwood, OH. Jackie Earle Haley picks up the killer’s mantle from series veteran Robert Englund with the reboot from music-video director Samuel Bayer.

Everyone know the story right? I know you do :p

Touching Home

Oscar nominees Ed Harris and Robert Forster star in self-taught identical twin filmmakers Logan and Noah Miller’s autobiographical family drama about a pair of twin brothers who return to their small town after failing to find success as major league baseball players. Their dreams of becoming professional athletes dashed, the brothers attempt to rethink their lives while reconciling their love for their homeless father (Harris). Deeply shamed by their derelict dad’s chronic shameful behavior, the brothers find themselves in a personal crisis after going to work at the local rock quarry and having to contend with their ne’er do well friends. Foster co-stars as the sympathetic town sheriff in a film also featuring Brad Dourif and Lee Meriwether.

TiMER

What if a clock could count down to the moment you meet your soul mate? In this alternate version of present day Los Angeles, a revolutionary device called the TiMER fulfills this very fantasy. For a reasonable installation fee and a moderate monthly charge, a TiMER is implanted in the wrist and promises to accurately display the number of days, hours, minutes and seconds until the owners date with destiny. However, things arent so easy for Oona OLeary (EMMA CAULFIELD, Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Oona faces the rare dilemma of a blank TiMER; her soul mate—whoever and wherever he is—doesnt have a TiMER. While her family and friends move through life with predetermined romantic fates, Oona searches for her perfect match via the process of elimination, tentatively dating TiMER—less men, but never getting emotionally invested. Often, Oona even convinces her suitors to get TiMERs, only to have her hopes crushed time and time again. Staring down the barrel of thirty and tired of waiting for her would—be life partner to get off the dime, Oona breaks her own rules and falls for Mikey (JOHN PATRICK AMEDORI, Gossip Girl), a charming and inappropriately young supermarket clerk with a countdown of four months. But what will happen when those four months are up? Only when Oona ignores the ticking clock can she finally experience the exhilarating and unpredictable hot mess that is love.

Furry Vengeance

A real estate mogul (Brendan Fraser) goes head-to-head with a group of furry critters looking to protect their forest from development in this Summit Entertainment/Participant Media co-production. The family-oriented comedy was written by Mr. Woodcock’s Michael Carnes and Josh Gilbert.

Enough said…

Opinions/whatever this is:

Mercy – The usual drama, may or not watch, don’t know.

Harry Brown - Bloody hell yeah! Old man gone wild! Need to see this, but now serious I’m really interested in this movie because these occasions might just happen in real life, except the old man killing everything he sees but the vandalism and stuff can really happen and old people (I should stop calling them old, but they are XD) usually are left alone in the dark and this movie deep down wants to express how they feel…killing everybody :D just kiddin :p

A Nightmare On Elm Street - AWESOME I have my bored afternoon filled now :D but seriously who doesn’t want to see teenagers in panic running around like little ants ^^ I’m an awkward human being I know…

Touching Home - Being based on a true story, this is the first drama that really touched me, ok maybe not the first but one of the few that did, because as you know from the comment up there, I love seeing humans running for away for their lives, but I also love those well-built dramas that touch people, even more the true story based ones and this one really touched me, the bad thing is that it won’t be in my country movie theaters for sure :(

TiMER - Nice drama, might check it out.

Furry Vengeance = furry animals + failed to be comic script

Popcorn Time!!

YES it’s back :) well it wasn’t ever gone, it’s that I only do it one time per week now and seems so much time between xD

So today’s Popcorn Time will be about movies releasing April 16th!

The Perfect Game

Based on a true story, The Perfect Game tells the tale of a rag-tag group of Monterrey, Mexico youths in 1957 that discovered the joy of sandlot baseball under the guidance of Cesar, an aspiring Major League Coach thwarted by discrimination. The team overcame great adversity in order to compete in the 1957 Little League World Series where a miracle would cement their place in history and change their lives forever.

The Joneses

A picture perfect family moves into a typical American town, impressing the locals and becoming integrating themselves into every aspect of the community until a sudden tragedy forces them to reassess their priorities. Steve (David Duchovny) and Kate Jones (Demi Moore) have everything a happily married couple could ever want: their kids Jenn (Amber Heard) and Mick (Ben Hollingsworth) are intelligent and handsome, they live in an affluent neighborhood, and their sprawling suburban home is jam packed with all of the coolest gizmos and gadgets that money can buy. It isn’t long before each of the Joneses have become integral components of their community, and struck up a close friendship with their next-door neighbors Larry (Gary Cole) and Summer (Glenne Headly). But take a closer look at the situation and you’ll start to see something ominous lurking just beneath the surface. It’s only when the Joneses are confronted with an unexpected disaster that they finally discover who they really are beneath the glossy veneer of consumerism.

NoBody’s Perfect

NOBODY´S PERFECT is a documentary which shows Niko von Glasows search for eleven people who, like him, were born disabled due to the side effects of the drug thalidomide, and who are prepared to be photographed for a calendar. And photographed naked, allowing those people who would otherwise glance furtively at thalidomiders to take a good, long look. In the process Niko discovers a range of fascinating characters who have learned to lead an impressively normal life, which incorporates their disability.
With black humour, and paying no heed to political correctness, NOBODYS PERFECT gives a portrait of twelve extraordinary personalities who react with curiosity, enthusiasm or horror (like Niko himself) to the project.

Death at a Funeral

Directed by Neil LaBute, Death at a Funeral is a hilarious day in the life of an American family come together to put a beloved husband and father to rest. As mourners gather at the family home, shocking revelations, festering resentments, ugly threats, blackmail and a misdirected corpse unleash lethal and riotous mayhem.

Kick Ass

Mark Millar’s violent comic tale of wannabe superheroes is adapted by writer/director Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake) with this Marv Films production. Aaron Johnson stars as a teen who steps out of his house one day with a mask and a painted baseball bat and starts to fight crime even though he has no superpowers. Lyndsy Fonseca co-stars as the character’s object of desire, with Nicolas Cage also appearing as an ex-cop whose hatred of a drug lord forces him to train his daughter to be a lethal vigilante.

My opinion:

The Perfect Game - seems like those true stores of the usual, reasonable ones nothing big, for me only true stories about war and rough times really hit my soft spot, the rest I don’t fall for it I’m sorry

The Joneses - I didn’t get much of the movie but from what I understood they’re an American dream life family gone bad? (in the meaning of not so dreamy anymore??) don’t know.

NoBody’s Perfect - This one I want to see, obviously it’s not gonna be in the cinemas here in my country, but I will download it later to watch. Because it seems really interesting and I want to know how these people see life from their eyes and how they face it.

Death at a Funeral – There had to be a comedy or this wouldn’t be a nice week…. *sarcasm*

Kick-Ass - And because they’re always making up “bloody hell no sense movies” I watch them because I laugh at its flaws and stupidities XD

Popcorn Time!!

So as for now on I’m only going to do this one time per week, I asked your opinion only got one comment (yay -.-) and that’s how he said it should be so basically that’s it. Enjoy.

Movies show here may  have already been shown because of the previous way I did this.

About Popcorn Time

Ok as you should see I’ve been doing some experiments with titles and order of how to say stuff, nothing special, but I’ve come to the conclusion that maybe I’m only going to do one per week. Because I still am undecided about how to do “Popcorn Time!!”, if I do it one time per week, I will only show the trailers about the movies coming out that week. If I do it more than once I will show new trailers that have come out, and the movies coming out this week, basically less organised (I mean I can organise it, first I will show the ones coming out this week, then I may show the new trailers about the other movies). If you don’t mind I would really appreciate if you would say what you prefer in the comments below, I make this for you to see and not for me, so here the opinions that matter are yours ;)

So say what you prefer:

  • once per week, only the movies coming out this week;
  • more than once per week (if i have enough to do it), showing the ones coming out this week and new trailers that have come out;

Thank you.

Popcorn Time!!

I did a very short break between “Popcorn Time!!” editions because I’ve got a whole bunch of trailers to show again and if I wouldn’t show now, man I would be in trouble for the next one :P you don’t even mind so go get the popcorn now while the videos load! GO GO GO GO!!

As the summer goes on, Ivy deals with her epilepsy and the slow, painful dissolution of her relationship, while Al starts to look for love in other directions. Bradley Rust Gray wrote and directed The Exploding Girl, while his wife So Yong Kim served as a producer. To reignite the marital spark, they visit a trendy Manhattan bistro where a case of mistaken identity turns their evening into the ultimate date night-gone-awry. But as Claire and Phil take their unexpected walk on the wild side, they begin to remember what made them so special together.

So where should i start, ok first:

Despicable Me - I’m interested because it seems funny, innovative (in the story), and not the usual despicable movie (get it get it?…I failed again didn’t I? I should stop doing this…)

The Good, The Bad, The Weird - I haven’t seen a Korean movie in a while, I think the last one I saw was a terror movie called “The Host” (a great movie in fact, I recommend), and I like Korean movies a lot, because they have something that just fascinates me and i can’t explain it XD

Breaking Upwards - The usual romantic drama/comedy/real-life something something, I’ll have to watch more to know if I truly want to see it or not.

Scott Pilgrim VS The World - WHAT FRESH HELL IS THIS?! next

Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too? – I sincerely hope I don’t end up like them, other than that, it seems a reasonable movie.

Date Night - STEVE CARELL I MISSED YOU (p.s. I’m not gay), but now really I haven’t seen a Steve Carell movie a long time, and this seems funny (they are always funny) but not so that hilarious comedy type of movie he used to do, I’m curious let’s wait for more :P

Popcorn Time!!

I don’t know what time it has been since the first one and sincerely I don’t care, I decided I’m gonna start doing this more often than once a week due to “requests” and me thinking that once a week isn’t much, so yeah you get the point… I think ;)

Megamind

Suddenly, Megamind has no purpose. A supervillain without a superhero. He realizes that achieving his life’s ambition is the worst thing that ever happened to him. Megamind decides that the only way out of his rut is to create a new hero opponent called “Titan,” who promises to be bigger, better and stronger than Metro Man ever was. Pretty quickly Titan starts to think it’s much more fun to be a villain than a good guy . Except Titan doesn’t just want to rule the world, he wants to destroy it. Now, Megamind must decide: can he defeat his own diabolical creation? Can the world’s smartest man make the smart decision for once? Can the evil genius become the unlikely hero of his own story?

The Greatest

Written by Shana Feste, this tells the story of Allen and Grace Brewer (Pierce Brosnan and Susan Sarandon respectively), a grief-stricken couple whose family has been pushed to the breaking point by the death of their older son, Bennett (Aaron Johnson), in a car crash. When a young woman, Rose (Carey Mulligan), shows up a few months later announcing that she is pregnant with Bennett’s child, the Brewers are forced to take her in. At first, Rose’s presence threatens to tear the family even further apart but, eventually, her interaction with each of the Brewers proves to be the very thing that brings them back together.

North Face

Based on a true story, NORTH FACE is a gripping adventure drama about a competition to climb the most dangerous rock face in the Alps. In July of 1936 – less than a year after the most recent and fatal attempt, two top German mountaineers, Toni Kurz (BENNO FÜRMANN) and Andi Hinterstoisser (FLORIAN LUKAS), take up the challenge to become the first to scale the infamous rock face, the so-called Murder Wall.

Defendor

Woody Harrelson is construction worker by day, self-made superhero by night in Defendor, a comedy that takes aim at society’s infatuation with comic-book mythologies. While the city is awake, Arthur Poppington (Harrelson) holds traffic signs, and is nearly invisible to all who pass; after hours, he assumes his secret identity (complete with homemade costume) and prowls the streets in search of his arch nemesis, “Captain Industry.” Along the way, he saves a young prostitute (Kat Dennings) from an abusive undercover cop (Elias Koteas), a move that proves his commitment to fighting for the weak, but also turns him into a real live fugitive from the law.

Clash of the Titans

The 1981 mythological fantasy adventure Clash of the Titans is resurrected in this remake from Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier and veteran writer Lawrence Kasdan. The joint Legendary Films/Warner Bros. production focuses on Perseus (Sam Worthington), the mortal hero made to carry out a series of quests by the gods in order to win the hand of the imprisoned princess Andromeda.

From these movies, the ones I’m really looking forward, I’m actually forward for them all but “The Greatest”, “Megamind” and “Clash Of The Titans” are the ones I look forward the most.

“Hot Tub Time Machine” looks like another of those comedies, I liked the part where the other meets his mom xD.

“North Face” seems interesting but not cinema-like for me to go spend money on it.

“Defendor” seemed interesting too, from what I’ve been reading it isn’t that of a comedy but more of a drama and I noticed that, I have been getting really surprised by the roles Woody Harrelson has done, “Zombieland”, “2012″ and I got surprised by seeing him in this role.

About “How to train your dragon” I saw the trailer in the cinema itself, I like it but I don’t know if I will see it on the big screen, maybe on my small computer screen only :P

“Megamind” really surprised me, I thought it was gonna be another of those animated films (again with this expression xD) but I really like them puting the AC/DC in the movie ahah.

“The Greatest” seems like a nice drama/life-teaching movie which I want to see.

“Clash of the Titans” surprised me as well, as not only looking damn good as I loved when they matched the sound with the trailer, when something hits the ground or another thing th music gets a higher tone as well, you should notice carefully sometimes among the trailer.

And last but not least I wanted to mention i saw yesterday when I went to a shopping center that I saw in “Fnac” shop the books of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” I was even gonna buy one but I didn’t have the money, I think I will ask one or two from my mom.

So it’s already kind of late for me, I was gonna post some other stuff but tomorrow at 7.45 am I’m already up and later I’m gonna do a test so I should be getting a good nice rest, don’t worry tomorrow I have the afternoon clear, to study, work on my girlfriend’s present (hihihi) and write here ^^ With this said good night everybody and nice popcorns!

Eclipse

This one is for the girls, another Twilight movie *sigh*, I have to say that “New Moon” kind of looked good with some action and stuff, but man this one looks sooo boring, the trailer basicly shows stuff like: I love you, no I love you etc etc.

One word and 2 symbols…..*sleep*!

Anyway at least it’s a new director or something like that, which you can already notice that they didn’t put any weird transformations in the trailer :P (new moon). So here’s the trailer, don’t forget to cry :P

Shrek 4 – Forever After

Shrek time! And this time I will finally laugh (just kidding :P ), but this one seems to be the best one, like everything is so cool, Fiona doesn’t know him, Donkey doesn’t know him, and the best of all…..wait for it…..wait for it…..the cat is fat!!!!! XD ahahah

p.s. cat still does the cute face…
