2010 Vampire Showdown

16 Bloodsuckers

One Winner

Let’s read :p

Hello fellow mates who are sick of hearing about vampires! So today, is the release of the so-not fantastic Ecplise, and because of that here’s a little tournament between the 16 most epic vampires! :p anyway see it, it’s fun.

*some results may be corrupted due to my preference* just kidding! :p

I would have put an image showing the tournament table, how do I say it, changing with the progression but that would require a lot of images and it wouldn’t turn out that well so here’s only two :p

Round 1:

1). Eric (True Blood) VS. Rayne (BloodRayne)
After long, hot, sweaty hours of…um… fighting, Rayne finally surrendered to Eric’s enormous…talent. We can’t blame her; few women can resist his blond, muscular Viking mystique.

2). Bill (True Blood) VS. Lestat (Interview with a Vampire)
Much like the actor who portrays him (Tom Cruise), Lestat de Lioncourt’s best days are behind him. If Brad Pitt and a little girl can finish him off, then Bill Compton is certainly more than capable of staking this frou-frou Frenchman.

3). Caleb (Bordello of Blood) VS. David (The Lost Boys)
Kiefer Sutherland’s undead ringleader already clashed with a Corey Feldman character in Joel Schumacher’s dark action film, but the former child star’s own vampire Caleb Verdoux is no match for the biker bloodsucker. Sorry Caleb, the clock has run out for you!

4). Selene (Underworld) VS. Satanico Pandemonium (From Dusk Til Dawn)
Behold the battle of the bloodsucking babes! These two vamps are not to be trifled with – one lays waste to werewolves while the other slays scumbags at sleazy strip club. Satanico tried to seduce Selene with her sultry dance act, but Selene doesn’t swing that way, so she put a couple of silver bullets in her head and put an end to the Pandemonium.

5). Blade VS. Amy Peterson (Fright Night)
There’s really no question about the outcome of this duel. Blade is a stone cold killer; he lives to vanquish vampires and sweet Amy Peterson from Fright Night is relatively new to the whole undead thing, so the Daywalker put her down quickly.

6). Eli (Let The Right One In) VS. Edward Cullen (Twilight)
Eli may be pretty tough for a 12 year old, but if Edward is effective against anything, it’s pre-teen girls.

7). Dracula (Bram Stoker’s Dracula) VS. Spike (Buffy The Vampire Slayer)
Buffy’s most badass vampire tried his best, but couldn’t beat the original dark master (bator). Guess he’ll never get those 11 pounds back.

8). Blacula VS. The Count (Sesame Street)
What is there to say? The Count’s obsessive compulsive counting was a pretty big liability in this fight. “One, two… two vampires! AH AH AH AH AH!” Not for long, Von Count. Blacula has an insatiable thirst… even for synthetic muppet flesh.

Round 2:

9). Eric VS. Bill
Bill can whine all he wants about our decision, but we all know Eric is way cooler. For one thing, he can go more than 10 minutes without getting kidnapped. For another, Bill’s so short Eric can probably just hold the top of his head and Bill won’t be able to reach him.

10). David VS. Selene
Both David and Selene have taken their share of lives, but the former generally preys on weak humans while the latter takes on all sorts of supernatural beings. Her fighting skills (and arsenal) are therefore vastly superior to David’s, making the battle pretty painless for Selene.

11). Blade VS. Edward Cullen
Edward looked around, forlorn, his perfect eyes haunted by repressed lust and an unquenchable thirst. A footstep sounded in the darkness behind him. “Bella?” he whispered, his undead pout spreading to a grin. “I don’t think so, motherfucker.” Edward had just a second to turn before he felt the stake tear through his sparkly flesh. He looked up into the face of death and saw its cruel smile. “Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice-skate uphill.”

12). Dracula VS. Blacula
You’d think that Blacula could take down Dracula because he’s younger, hipper, and lives in Los Angeles instead of some decrepit Eastern European castle, right? Wrong. Dracula brought Blacula into this world, and he can take him out just as easily. That’s just the way things tend to work in the vampire world. Deal with it.

Round 3:

13). Eric VS. Selene
Unlike Rayne, Selene is too hardcore to be confused by Eric’s demonstrable sexual charms. Nevertheless, Eric Northman, the most powerful vampire in Area 5, is no Lycan. The former Viking is over 1000 years old, can rip a man into pieces, and flies. Selene, sadly, doesn’t stand a chance.

14). Blade VS. Dracula
Blade battled a bogus Dracula in his third cinematic outing, but he’s never faced anyone or anything quite as terrifying as Gary Oldman’s Prince of Darkness. Though he’s put an end to vampire villains like Morbius and Deacon Frost in his time, he finally succumbed to Vlad III Draculea.

Final Battle:

Eric

Dracula

Stats: Eric
Age:
~1000
Height: 6’4″
Weight: 190
Strengths: Super strength, flight, super speed, hypnosis, sex appeal
Weaknesses: sunlight, staking, silver, Sookie Stackhouse
Stats: Dracula
Age:
~500
Height: 5’9″
Weight: 160
Strengths: Super strength, shape shifting, flight, hypnosis, originality
Weakness: Water, garlic, sunlight, has to carry hometown dirt, eucharist, staking, decapitation, a penchant for capes

Eric VS. Dracula
Dracula’s been the top vampire for centuries, but bloodsuckers have changed a lot since the Count’s days. While Drac could be taken down with some garlic bread or a swimming pool, today’s vampires are made of sterner stuff. Plus, if one hour of sex burns 350 calories, you can image how much exercise Eric is getting a day.

Winner: Eric Northman

Oh yeah this is ONE OF the surprises, yes there are others, the next one is in the next week, well this isn’t much of a surprise is it? :/

Surprise Update..

Aw hell, the surprise has been delayed to next week.

MS: Hardcore will buy Kinect first

kinect

Worldwide product marketing manager of Xbox, Ryan Moore, has told CVG that hardcore gamers, and not the casual massive, will be the first to buy Kinect this November.

“I think we know that hardcore gamers will be the first to go out and buy it, as they are with any product,” Moore told the site at E3.

He went on to add: “We know we have to have a wide range of experiences, from things like the animals game you saw today to… games that are more geared towards the core.

“I would expect a wide range of products to be released this holiday.”

No European release date has been given for the motion camera, nor has the price for either Europe or the US. Speculation is pointing at a $150 RRP.

Expect pricing to be announced in Cologne during gamescom in August.

Kinect launches in the US on November 4.

Away…

As you could see I was away for the weekend, I went on a trip to Lisbon, to be with my brother (one of the two) which is having a load of exams to do and stuff so we went there to cheer him up and things like that, sincerely I hate Lisbon, full of arrogant people who think they own the world and are better than everyone else, that or it’s just me who isn’t used to big cities, maybe both anyway it was a nice trip although a bit boring, due to the lack of technologies :p yeah it was basically walk here, walk there, visit this, go to that mall and so on, so there was no Xbox, no PC, no fun :p I bought two t-shirts, who are awesome btw, obviously :p and bought something for the house. The most awesome part of the trip was…ta na na naaaaa….ta na na na naaaaa… Queen on the Rocks =D they are band who does covers of Queen, the singer is the same, a complete clone of Freddy, from the jacket to the voice, everything is the same, I never thought there was someone like that, it was awesome, a somewhat Queen concert :D but obviously not the same thing, it didn’t have the spirit of Freddy but the guy was really good, if you saw it from afar you would totally say it was Freddy. Anyway long live Freddy Mercury!!

And that is it, also I’ve got a surprise for you people, stay tuned to June 30 (the same date as Eclipse XD but wait…that is a hint of my surprise :p)

Oh well let’s go make the other posts, GOD NO, so many stuff :p I keed I keed :p

P.S. I know you don’t write keed <.<

Robert Pattinson Related to Dracula, Say Genealogists

As much as this story belongs on the third page of The Onion, it actually comes straight from the Associated Press.  Last night a team of genealogists announced that they had uncovered a distant familial relationship between Twilight star Robert Pattinson and the Transylvanian Prince Vlad III (a.k.a. “The Impaler”)  – the inspiration for Bram Stroker’s Dracula.

In news that is already melting tween hearts around the nation, researchers at Ancestry.com revealed that both Pattinson and Vlad III are related through their connections to the British royal family: Princes William and Harry are Pattinson’s distant cousins, and “The Impaler” was their distant uncle.

As if this news couldn’t get any weirder, it has been suggested that Stephenie Meyer, the author of the ‘Twilight’ books, is also related to the royal family, and therefore to both Pattinson and the infamous Transylvanian..wicked

Pattinson and his noble lineage will be on display in Twilight: Eclipse, opening this Wednesday, June 30.

67% of US Homes have console or PC for gaming

industry

A new survey by the ESA has suggested that over 67 percent of American households own a gaming console or PC.

The company’s definition of a PC, is defined as “PC used to run entertainment software” which of course could mean that the figure is slightly lower, but it’s still an impressive one in any case.

“Computer and video games are now available to consumers on every screen from smart phones to computers to flat screen televisions,” ESA president Michael Gallagher said. “This enables millions of Americans enjoy the immersive storytelling, incredible graphics, and compelling plot lines.

“These works of art are a fun and engaging way to bring people together, especially families who are playing video games together now more than ever.”

The ESA’s report also sets the average gamer as 34 and male, while saying that 40 percent of players are female.

Nintendo’s Wii and DS came out as the most popular in the top ten software sales, despite the 360 version of Modern Warfare 2 taking the top spot.

In terms of genre, action titles sold most games at 19.5 percent, followed by sports at 19 percent and shooters at 12 percent.

Finally it seems that parents are also embracing gaming. The report also suggests 64 percent believe games are a positive part of their children’s lives, while 76 per cent have faith in in-game parental controls.

You can check out the full report here.

Bad news…

I arrived a while back from an waterpark and immediatly began seeing E3, because has I arrived it started (the microsoft part) and then I finished sawing it now. But the bad news is I won’t be able to provid the fast E3 coverage, tomorrow I’m going to Lisbon (Portugal Capital) and it’s gonna take the whole day, and today I’m literally dead from the waterpark and can’t do much in this condition :( so I beg ur pardon and excuse me while I go lie the hell down in my bed and die :p

Study – Move and Natal purchase intent below 10%

natalmove

A study conducted by US research firm OTX has found that 8 percent of Xbox 360’s market intends to use Natal and 6 percent of PS3’s intend to use Move.

Those that intend on purchasing the controllers, 25 percent plan to pre-order it.

With both firms set to reveal the respective controllers at E3 next week, these numbers should go up a bit once more information becomes available to the public.

The study also found that 15 percent of both PS3’s and Xbox 360’s market were aware of the controllers, and that the average age for intended purchasers was 28 and 25, respectively.

When it came to female participants in the study, 30 percent of those planned on purchasing Move, and 20 percent planned on buying Natal.

“While we are still months away from launch, the current data suggests that Natal gamers are definitely Xbox 360 purists, while Move gamers have a stronger interest in other platforms,” said OTX.

The top three preferred genres for Move varied between action, RPGs and shooters, while those who intend to get Natal – four out of five prefer shooters.

Titles with strongest overlap among planned Natal purchases:

  1. Gears of War 3 – X360 (47%)
  2. Fable III – X360 (42%)
  3. Call of Duty: Black Ops – X360 (38%)
  4. Halo: Reach – X360 (34%)
  5. Dead Space 2 – X360 (26%)

Titles with strongest overlap among planned purchases of Move:

  1. LittleBigPlanet 2 – PS3 (42%)
  2. Gran Turismo 5 – PS3 (32%)
  3. SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs – PS3 (30%)
  4. The Legend of Zelda 2 – Wii (26%)
  5. Super Mario Galaxy 2 – Wii (21%)

The GamePlan Insights poll was conducted between May 23 and June 5 and had 2,000 participants.

Off you go then :p

Damn it!

I’m sorry, I won’t be posting stuff again, I’ve got tons and tons of things to post, but I’ve been busy and today I just have an enormous headache, it’s killing me, I have tried everything, I’ve saved the things I want to post, they are ready, but today I can’t :/

BTW I started a DeviantART acount (well I already had one) but now I’ve posted some stuff there and I will keep posting, in June after school ends I will post most of my drawings (the best ones).

http://devilmaniak.deviantart.com/

Also I had a picture of the day of a drawing made by a friend of mine, who is also into DeviantART although with not that much of deviations but he will post more, check it out http://jpapereira5.deviantart.com/

Stuph…

So yeah no posts today too :/ unfortunately I have to go to my aunt’s house because I don’t know so basically that’s it.

On the other hand, while I didn’t my pc I wrote, and I started writing another story, this one about war, I kinda stopped writing the other one don’t know or remember why but I got it all on my head and written down in the pc so anytime I can go and finish, BUT this one is about war and as you know WAR >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>vampires so yeah.

This one is a diary too, it’s called diary of a survivor, but I’m thinking of changing to tales of a survivor don’t know, what do you think it’s best? Say on the comments below PLEASE ONCE IN A LIFETIME DO THAT…<.<

So this one story is about this guy who was forced to go to war (WW3) I created the war, gave it reasons for happening, new alliances between nations and etc etc, his name is Henrique, he’s a portuguese dude who was part of the Portuguese Army (kind of strange but I decided that ONCE Portugal would actually be part of something and big so yeah that’s it), BIG SPOILER which isn’t, he dies, BUT not in war hein hein? :p The beginning is just like the other story, the book was found bla bla bla in Henrique’s body, a 31 years old Portuguese fella (when he died) at bla bla bla in bla bla bla.

I’ve written already a bit, but the WW3 is yet to start xD mainly wrote about the beginning of it and causes, it’s looking good, hope to not give up so easily as I did with the other one, but one day I will finish both ^^

I think that’s enough, have a fun day and GET THE BLOODY HELL OUT OF MY BLOG =D  go do something in which you can learn something that means something that’s worth something and not read a teenager blog which has too much free time (actually that’s a lie, bad boy tsc tsc tsc)…I should stop writing by now…IM BEING CONTROLED BY THE KEYBOARD HELP MEEEEEEEEEE NOOOOOOooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooOOOOO the key O got stuck ahahah xD BAAM that’s what I did to the keyboard to unstuck =) because violence wins everything :p OK BYE (this is what not writing for “I don’t know how much days” in my blog does, U SEE?? it’s bad isn’t it…)

P.S. “This one is a diary too, it’s called diary of a survivor, but I’m thinking of changing to tales of a survivor don’t know, what do you think it’s best? Say on the comments below PLEASE ONCE IN A LIFETIME DO THAT…<.<” !!!! DONT FORGET THAT!!!

Because fooling around is never enough…

Why is my tongue all freedom and such?? o.O

God I need a life *Sigh*

Room Makeover..

Study – US gamers spent $25.3 billion on games last year…

That is quite a bit..

study

According to a study conducted by Newzoo and TNS,  the US spent approximately $25.3B on games in 2009.

UK’ers spent around £3.8B.

The US amount was spent by 183.5M consumers compared to 31.3M UK residents.

When it came to all-formats, it was found that total game revenue for consoles/handhelds in the US was at 60 percent, compared to 16 percent on PC, 11 percent for online portals, 8 percent for MMOs, and 4 percent spent on mobile gaming.

In the UK, the amount spent on consoles/handhelds was 63 percent, 20 percent for PC, 7 percent for online portals, and MMOs and mobile gaming tied for 5 percent of money spent.

This information is available in a report titled Today’s Gamers Survey, in which over 13K folks ages eight and up participated.

Get a sample of it through the link there. The full thing will cost you, though..

SUPER-HUMAN DEATHMATCH!!!

PLACE UR BETS PEOPLE!!

We all know how Spider-Man’s battle with the Green Goblin turned out, but how would he fare against Iron Man 2’s burly baddie Whiplash?

Using Marvel.com’s official ratings of select characters and my own knowledge of their histories (yeah right :p), I’ve created a series of Super-Human Death Matches to see what would happen if some of our favorite cinematic superheroes clashed with equally commanding evil-doers. In these specially-crafted battles, Hollywood endings won’t save the heroes; they’ll have to rely on their intelligence, strength, speed and skills without the safety of a test audience.

May the fiercest fighter win! BEGIN!

LUKE CAGE VS BULSEYE

http://cdn-images.hollywood.com/site/cage_vs_bulls.jpg

Though Cage hasn’t appeared in a film yet (not for lack of trying – Marvel has long been developing a feature based on the urban hero), I hope to see him brawl his way to the big screen soon. In the meantime, think about what a battle between the muscle-bound bruiser and Daredevil’s dead-eyed nemesis Bullseye would be like. The skilled marksman has a slight advantage as long as he keeps his distance from Cage, but the Harlem-bred brute is both incredibly durable and a proficient and powerful fighter, which evens things out a bit. It all comes down to speed, then, and since neither is particularly quick, the victor is clearly Cage.

WINNER: LUKE CAGE

DAREDEVIL VS GREEN GOBLIN

http://cdn-images.hollywood.com/site/devil_vs_goblin.jpg
Norman Osborne proved to be a formidable foe for our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man by striking the hero’s heart before delivering crushing blows to his body. I’m not so sure the same tactic would work against the significantly more stern-hearted Matt Murdock (unless Elektra Natchios shows up in skin-tight leather looking to make it a three-way HEIN HEIN :P ). In a conventional bout, The Man Without Fear would energetically combat the crazed company man turned psychotic super-villain, but with advanced intellect, enhanced endurance and sophisticated gadgetry (including his vertical thrust “goblin glider” and variety of deadly pumpkin bombs), the Goblin would emerge victorious.

WINNER: GREEN GOBLIN
—–

GHOST RIDER VS DOCTOR DOOM

http://cdn-images.hollywood.com/site/ghost_vs_doom.jpg

In what would surely be a devastating confrontation, Johnny Blaze’s Spirit of Vengeance and the disturbed Dr. Victor Von Doom would lay waste to all that stands in their warpath. Both are sturdy warriors that don’t go down easily and each possesses otherworldly powers. Blaze’s supernatural Hellfire is surely scorching, but Doom’s sorcery would likely extinguish the flame. That said, the battle would be decided on a blow-by-blow basis, and though Ghost Rider is nearly indestructible, Doom’s superior strength, speed and intellect would help him put the Brimstone Biker down for the count.

WINNER: DOCTOR DOOM

—–

SPIDERMAN VS WHIPLASH

http://cdn-images.hollywood.com/site/spidey_vs_whip.jpg

The cinematic version of Whiplash seems to be as deadly as the vengeful Russian villain from the greater Marvel Universe, but the common denominator between these two iterations of the character is their lethal nature in battle. His 25 ft. electromagnetic whips would effectively counter the wall-crawler’s long-range attack, forcing the web-slinger into hand-to-hand combat. Luckily, close range is an equally comfortable zone of conflict for Spider-Man and with greater speed, strength and fighting skills he would easily trounce Whiplash.

WINNER: SPIDER-MAN

SANDMAN VS HULK

http://cdn-images.hollywood.com/site/sand_vs_hulk.jpg
How do you defeat that which does not have form? This is the question that Bruce Banner will have to answer before engaging in battle with Flint Marko a.k.a. The Sandman. Both are more or less invulnerable, but that is where their similarities end. Hulk has no range: unless he’s face-to-face with an enemy, he’s got no game. On the other hand, Marko’s enhanced strength is nothing compared to the might of The Incredible Hulk, who is also smarter, faster and a more skilled warrior. What the Sandman does have going for him is an incredible amount of energy to throw at the Green Meanie. It’s a hard one to determine, as their fictional fight would likely go on and on, leaving bodies and debris strewn along the streets of New York City, so rather than over-thinking the outcome, I’m calling it a tie muahahah :p
IT’S A TIE!

Skate 3 gets an interesting LOTR like video :p

skate3

Skate 3’s first commercial has been released, and the guys behind it appear to have been watching too much Lord of the Rings.

Taking one side of the half-pipe each, two groups face off in a Middle Earth style epic battle. There’s no blood, guts or talking trees, though; just a lot of people having a “good time”.

The game’s out on May 14 for PS3 and 360.

Here’s the video:

Awesomeness + WTF = This :D
